Hey Guys, this page is devoted only to pen blanks.  They're made from the varieties of wood on the index to the left and shown in the same order, starting with redwood.  I turned a few redwood just to show how some of them will look.   

This first sample is a very tight lace, light in weight, has some sapwood and an edge of pink heartwood.  Very nice blanks, soft enough to dent with your fingernail, a little CA will toughen 'em up. 
  

Sample 2 is cut from the stump in the back of my pickup...see my About Me" page.   Very hard, has burl mixed with really convoluted figure.  

Sample 3 came from the same stump as above but doesn't have as much burl.  They will have good figure and prices will reflect the amount of burl compared to the above #'s 1 and 2.   

RP50, $12.00.   These are sample 1 wood.  Measures 3/4 x 3/4 x 6" long.  Some sapwood, some heartwood.

RP52, $9.00.  Sample 1 wood.  Measures 3/4 x 3/4 x 5" long.

BP65, $12.50.  Six pieces, buckeye burl pen blanks, measures 3/4 x 3/4 x at least 5" long.  Note these have loose eyes....not a bad thing if you enjoy filling holes with pretty filler.  Makes some beautiful pens.
