All things Redwood on this page for a while until I get better organized and add a few pages for specific uses. Pen blanks, knife scales, turning wood, gun grips, .....the usual cast of characters. If you see wood that you like.. email to me using the little "contact" form at the bottom of this page. I usually take a "dry" and a misted picture of all my wood. I don't like to make the boards too wet as redwood soaks up water like a sponge.....makes the boards warp but they do straighten out as the water evaporates.
All my redwood comes from Humboldt County, California where I used to live. I had opportunity to work in the big wood days, falling/skidding/loading and hauling those huge logs...an experience I'll never forget.

RP30, $7.50. Redwood lace burl pen blanks, measures 3/4 x 3/4 x 6" long. Nice wood.... Same as the blanks above, light coloration on the ends of these are where end sealer didn't allow the water to soak in and show grain. BTW, only one "wet" pic.
