Shopsmith 12" Pro Planer with cast iron table for sale. $500.00
This style is very popular in the Shopsmith world. I bought it used and paid $500 and will accept that same price. It's a clean machine with no ugly places on it that I can see. Lots of pics show it well. This unit has the varable speed motor, an upgrade from the older manual crank model. S1, $500.00, pickup in Redding, CA.

SS1, 75.00, pickup in Redding. Shopsmith Mark V shorty project. I'm selling this because I don't need another project. It had a good motor and headstock that I needed. Headstock shown is included, motor too that has a short, I'm not putting any value on the motor. Headstock in pics only needs another motor to make a pretty useful tool.
..SS1, $35.00 + shipping to be determined by buyer's zip. Shopsmith Greenie retractable caster. Pressure washed, they show pretty well. Most of the green loose paint is gone showing aluminum underneath. Rust on the crosspieces and spring mechanisms. Looks like a good set to restore.
SOLD...................................................For sale: Vintage rustic bench that in another life was the base for one of the first models of the famous Shopsmith woodworking machines. The Shopsmith 10E and 10ER were first made about 1947. So, this bench is about 70 years old. Here's some info about the machine from Toolhunter.com; "First off it’s important to know that the ShopSmith brand name has passed through several hands since it was originally attached to a machine conceived by a German immigrant to the US in the late 1940’s. Hans Goldschmidt invented the first ShopSmith tool, a 5-in-1 woodworking tool that met the demands of the burgeoning new DIY market in the USA. During and immediately after WWII many Americans who had learned new trade skills and who were becoming homeowners in record numbers were looking for outlets for their new skills and to add value to their new investment. These two factors combined to create an unprecedented need for compact and affordable woodworking tools, which is just what Mr. Goldschmidt had invented." This bench has locking hard rubber steel wheels, not original equipment but very efficient. It rolls easily and is very stable. Note the old growth vertical grain Douglas Fir base boards. Quality like that is hard to find now. They measure 1 5/8" thick x 7 1/2" wide x 56" long. The bench is 18" wide x 20" tall and 56" long. There is some rust but for it's age, the bench is in amazingly good condition. The Shopsmith logo shows well on each end. Sliding drawer is obviously handmade and is fairly large. Use it as a bench or to display special pieces. This bench will still be around for another 70 years. : ) $100.00 firm price.......pickup in Redding, CA.
